Welcome, thanks for visiting.

The nickname Billy Five came about in ways that are way too lengthy (and probably boring) to explain here. Just take it for what it is. The goal of this website is to acquire musicians with similar passions and beliefs. With that in mind, here are a few things I believe:

I believe music should be intense, regardless of style.

I believe music should be well rehearsed and presented with care.

I believe in God.

I believe in Jesus.

I believe in the power of prayer.

I believe many people are searching for something.

I believe many people have tried church.

I believe many people want something more.

I believe many people are bored with church.

I believe many people would come to church if it moved them.

I believe people want to be moved.

I believe want to believe in something.

I believe many people do believe in something.

I believe music is a strong vehicle.

I believe God moves people.

I believe God moves mountains.

I believe music moves people.

I believe music moves.

I believe music is a key component to the church experience.

I believe in The Rock.

I believe in rock.

I believe church can rock.

I believe we are all the same.

I believe in humility.

I believe Marshalls, Mesas, overdrive and sustain.

I believe church should draw people to it.

I believe church should rock.

I believe The word rocks.

I believe many more things, none of which really matter here.

I believe I am looking for a few musicians who have the passion and talent to rock, thump, and point to Him, without skewing the message or the meaning of the message. I know you are out there. The place is the Monterey Bay area, the time is now, the need is urgent.

Here, you will not find any answers, magical solutions, useful information, revelations or testimony (or abalone). One’s heart cannot be accurately put across in html and graphics. All that matters here is insight. Insight to that pull we all feel when we fell pulled toward something that moves us. The soul behind this madness of music is one of distance downward, and that is not anywhere as negative as it implies. There is a story behind every one of us, stories that make us who we think we are, who we were, or want to be. For some the same (old) story just keeps playing over and over, marking our past as our present and often our future as yesterday. This can be realized in any addiction.

I say ANY addiction. Anything from Heroin to Hominy, coke to cola, friends to foes, anger to angel and everything in between. The renewal exists in constant change (which in itself can also be addicting). Is “fresh” something new or is it something old revisited? Is the satisfaction we find in this world meant to last? If so, I want my money back. The longer life goes on the more elusive its meaning. Obviously, it is not for us to figure out. We must do life the way we are called to do it. This is the essence of the dream that drives this Five.

Music is the vehicle, the message not the mission. Through it, doors open, lives are saved (tragically, some are lost), the deaf hear again and the seeing become blind. That's right, the seeing become blind. Blind to all that we see of this place so we can then revel in the unseen. Armed with the insight of the known and the revelation of the unknown, I forge onward into an often dark, yet promising life in the Que. There, I wait in silence for the still voice that moves mountains.
